She's not been sleeping well because of a horrible cold (neither have I in part because she's hacking all night and in part because I'm hacking all night); she fell asleep while we were out shopping. I didn't have the heart to try to get her into the house and lay her down because then the phlegm would wake her up/ make her cough disrupting her sleep.
So now I'm sitting in the car with the laptop and doors open.
I feel ridiculous.
And I think I need a nap...

I always quite liked sitting in my car.

Used to either read a book, or sit in my kitchen having a cup of tea/surfing when DS went to sleep (carport was directly next to the kitchen).

Mum used to leave us in the car asleep and go inside.

YABU, most definately. What are you doing on the computer? You should be sleeping too . I lost count of the number of times my two fell asleep on the way to the supermarket etc. Instead of waking them I'd have a nap too - I even started putting a pillow in the car to make it more comfy.

Neighbour came out to see if I was ok when I was doing this recently. Think she thought I was locked out. Nice of her but having to answer her work dd up.

DH and I often sit on the car when the DC have fallen asleep.

I once was sort of snoozing in a quiet layby (in a residential area!) with 2 very young DC's asleep in the back. A lady from the house next to it actually came out and was kind of loitering in a concerned (rather than a creepy) way and when I woke up she wanted to make sure we were ok?!?!?! She said she was worried I had fallen ill, saw the children in the back, one asleep, one vaguely kind of half and half and was really worried that I had had some sort of attack..

I explained that since baby was asleep and I was five minutes from my destination and running a bit early that I had decided to pull over and snooze myself!!!!
