quality time - i'm not saying it is, but another thread is leading to a mother of an 8month dd being reported by someone for receiving money from a man/men she is sleeping with, she's skint, as prostituting herself, to SSs. I think its harsh - if mothers receive money from husbands and thats ok - why is it acceptable to be accused of prostitution if money is exchanged between lovers? that'll be one for the doogooders that want to make life hell for a young mum on another thread...........

You are assuming that sex is something a wife gives a husband. In the same way as a prostitute provides a service for a client.

paisleyleaf · 16/06/2010 21:53

So what you need to do is go onto the thread you are talking about and say they are being unreasonable.

DuelingFanjo · 16/06/2010 21:53

a thread about a thread?

noodlemaker · 16/06/2010 22:02

that thread is full of SW's sucked on their high horses and I'm told i have no right to judge lol! anyway i've been married & it was good whilst it lasted - but i've certainly been far more wined and dined and indulged and treated as later unmarried. Prostitution - certainly not!

Erm...well there is the not so small matter of love between two people. Marriage is not just a swapping of contracts, goods and services.

What a horrible thought.

QualityTime · 16/06/2010 22:05

So you cannot see the difference between a woman getting money from lots of men for sex and a husband/partner sharing his wage with someone he lives with?

paisleyleaf · 16/06/2010 22:12

See re. the thread about a thread thing: you say the other thread "is full of ........."
How different do you think your new thread will be? - you're still on mumsnet.

TheCrackFox · 16/06/2010 22:18

YANBU

DH has degraded himself to be with me.

foureleven · 16/06/2010 22:24

once my Dp and I met in a random hotel and he gave me money for sex.. but it was a kinky role play. And it was great.. i guess i was a prostitute that night. But no, otherwise we are just two people who both love sex and give it to eachother freely.. unless he's drunk, in which case I mostly take advantage.

mummyfee · 16/06/2010 22:28

Noodlemaker - the girl you are talking about on the original thread (if the op on that one is correct) was picking up men and having sex with them for money in the presence of her baby daughter. It's a little different, isn't it??? That doesn't describe a marriage to me.

ShirleyKnot · 16/06/2010 22:31

Once, when I was married, I saw a little pheasant. It was all dead on the motorway and I felt really sad.

Many years later, when I was divorced, I saw a pheasant and it was dead on the motorway.

Makes you think.

Fruitysunshine · 16/06/2010 22:34

YABU and insulting to women generally. (I assume you are referring to women prostituting themselves?)

Quattrocento · 16/06/2010 22:41

Somehow I expected Xenia to be on this thread - with the oft-articulated argument that sahms are prostitutes

I have no clue what this thread is actually about and the OP is a question mark which really isn't helping, so I guess this is the point at which I retire, baffled

QualityTime · 16/06/2010 22:44

Shirley, it really does.

ShirleyKnot · 16/06/2010 22:48

Frightening eh QT?

Who knows? I think the first pheasant was probably a prostitute, desperate for grain and a bit of apple (apple is like crack to them ) it sold it's feathers for nothing but a tyre squishing them.

The second pheasant probably had a family and was settled. It went out, just looking for food and stumbled upon the M4.

The tragedy of pheasant 2 is that it had a number of eggs, pheasant number one had several young chicks - by different pheasant cocks.

It's a gamble isn't it?

piscesmoon · 16/06/2010 22:53

If this is you-then you have married the wrong person.

KurriKurri · 16/06/2010 22:55

It's all in the lap of the Gods Shirley.

Jamieandhismagictorch · 16/06/2010 22:56

duplicate duplicate

CrankyTwanky · 16/06/2010 22:57

Of course it fucking isn't.

Tidey · 16/06/2010 22:57

I sat on the lap of a God once. That's who he claimed to be anyway.

funnysinthegarden · 16/06/2010 22:59

sounds like Germaine Greer

mumeeee · 16/06/2010 22:59

YABU, My marriage is definatly not a form of prostitution.

Jamieandhismagictorch · 16/06/2010 23:03

Dueling this is a thread thread about a thread. It is a thread to the power of three
