I haven't read the whole thread. I just read the op and their responses. from that you can pretty much get the gist to post something vaguely reasonable.

To be honest you are being very unreasonable. Simply because we are posting on an AIBU thread. It's all very well listening to the other 4000 people who post drivel, but I don't want to. I want to come in - kick off and enjoy the rant.

YABU. Haven't the whole thread, but who really has time to through 772 posts? I don't, and don't see why that should disqualify me from answering the OP, albeit late. It's not a private conversation, it's a thread on a forum. Even in a private conversation, if a person turned up late, you wouldn't tell them to fuck off and come back at the beginning of the next conversation, would you? You would give them a quick run down of what you were discussing, and politely invite them into the discussion.
