Does anyone know any baby that has lasted till 6 months laying flat under their older brother/sister??

My 3 month old just doesn't fit in the lay flat anymore without his feet getting bashed by big brother on top.

This is what Phil and Teds think:

?Our buggies and doubles kits were both designed in conjunction with the body dimensions/weight averages specified in a well-known book 'The Measure of Man & Woman' - Revised Edition 2002. This book specifies (among other things) average weights and body part lengths of all ages from newborn, and was used in providing the measurements for the layflat 2 children mode"

AIBU??

Please please can someone help. I am wanting to put baby into the baby section, without the cocoon, however the staps are too far down the buddy to strap LO in? Surely baby cannot just lie in the back bit without the straps on?

Bakerga12 I used to put ds in the back laid down without the straps on when he got too big for the cocoon, perfectly safe.

I too love my P&T (Vibe)

We've had two a normal explorer or whatever it was called and a Vibe, I've also had a M&P twin Aria and a Graco tandem.

DS was out the cocoon at 12 weeks, with the footmuff on and the doubles set reclined he was much happier. I think when he was about 6 month we swapped them around and he was in the fron with DD3 having the back as a jump on set when he was tired.

So wish. Had one when DD2 was born, settled on a side by side an it was a nightmare.

Another vote for sling and single buggy here - although I only got a second-hand quinny for DS1 for long trips after DS2 was born. It's only been used a handful of times, but I did find it pretty easy to manage.

For those saying that a sling isn't manageable with a heavier baby, have you tried back-carrying? I back-carried DS1 from 4 months to 2 1/2 and DS2 was moved between front and back for the first 3 months and has been mainly on my back since then. He is about 19/20lbs at the moment and I still barely notice that I am carrying him. A good-quality wrap sling or mei-tai, or something like an ergo should be comfortable unless you have pre-existing back problems.

And I carry a small, handmade padded mat which I use to put DS2 down on at cafes and things - although I can usually find somewhere with a sofa, and now he can sit in a high chair.

I loved the Phil and Ted baby toddler combo when they were little. The baby bit swung and rocked them to sleep as I walked, however both girls outgrew it at about 4 months or 5 months so I moved them to the toddler toddler combo. I have used tandems (at Mum in Laws) twins (my spare double) and my Phil and Ted and it is by far my three children and my favourite pram for two (or now one) child. It is easy to push and they like going in both the front and back seat. My 5 year old would ride home from school in the back even now given half a chance.

What I don't like about it is people who never had one or used one judging me for using one. My three are quite able to let me know if they are unhappy.
