to think that Tesco stocking three lions football lettuce

is going to the extremes of football.

I mean the lettuce cost more than the regular bags of lettuce, and I was like why would anyone buy a bag of lettuce cause the bag is emblazoned with three lions and pay a premium for the privilege!

"the sort of person to buy union jack parsley"

I don't know why but I just about pissed myself at that!

Yes, the union jack thing is all about where the product comes from! The government are under the belief that consumers are desperate to know where their food comes from and have this big push on Country of Origin labelling. You'll find Union Jacks on loads of products, meat, milk etc

Basil is grown in the UK under glass but is also imported.

Obviously this is different from the 3 lions promo stuff which is just marketing.

"I'm German, I'd buy it and make Sauerkraut out of it. LOL"

Sauerkraut is fermented cabbage. The idea of doing that to lettuce sounds revolting.
