My daughter is 14 months old and was diagnosed with an anal fissure about 6 months ago. Up until today it was put down to constipation but we went back to clinic for a check up and the doctor started asking questions about ulcers amongst other things (I had noticed a few mouth ulcers a few weeks back but she had a cold at the time a d didn't think anything of it. Now she's sent her for blood tests for inflamation disorders. Anyway I just looked it up and the only thing that it could be us an iflamatory bowel disease such as chrons disease. Y did I google? Please reassure me x

It might be better to post in health

But I'm sure it will be fine

they're probably just ticking all the boxes

Please don't worry, they are trying to rule these things out not diagnose them.

Ulcers are common in crohns but they are symptoms of lots of other mild things aso, and they could have just been coincidental - but they have to check these things.

Please try not to worry, I hope all is well with your daughter at the moment.

And goggling is the worst thing to do, it starts with extremes!!

They always prepare you for the worst. My husband was told that he would need a brain scan for as they were looking for epilepsy. It turned out he didn't and he was having deep faints because he got up too quickly in the morning- if you know what I mean! Also I was investigated for all sorts of scary conditions (Rheumatiod arthritis and others) to explain pain in my hands and it turned out to be mild depression which I'm ok with now. I was really worried but it turned out to be ok. Please don't google anymore! The fissure can sometimes be caused by a sharp bit of poo, and it's normal to have mouth ulcers with a cold, I get them. Hope this helps.
