Its the second one in 2 days, yesterday it was alive and she tried to bring it into the house but I have rescued it in time. Today, I was too late. If I tell her off will she get the hint ??

My cat goes through baby rabbits at such a rate i reckon I could hire him out and go into the pest control business.

Off the point slightly, but presumably cats frequently leave the spleen as it's full of bile and therefore presumably pretty bitter and horrible?

I think it's wrong putting collars with bells on cats, hunting is part of their natural behaviour and taking away their ability to do so is mean. If you find it hard to deal with, don't get a cat. Plus as others have pointed out, the collars themselves are dangerous and cats can easily become strangled or trapped by them.

Slightly off topic - cat is eyeing empty dish and meowing, loudly and piteously. DH, unable to stand the noise any longer, washes dish and refills with fresh cat food. Cat takes two morsels and swans off looking smug. Cue DH shouting after him 'There are cats starving in Africa.......'

sounds like our cat Granny23...
plus in the last week we have found 3 dead birds in our house...and feathers everywhere. No point telling the cats off, it's what they do...
The worst though was on Sat night when DH saw a huge RAT in our living room. Think the cat must have brought it inside earlier and it escaped. DH managed to capture the rat in the cat box whilst the cat slept on in the same room, completely oblivious....

I know I have to get used to this attitude, she only starting bringing birds for the last 4 days !! She is still my darling Annabelle, just find difficult seeing her being so cruel !!! But..I'll get over it
