we need a double pram for 14 month old dd and the new baby, ive seen one that i like (and found one nearly new for £150!!) but dp says he doesnt like it... we only need the double because i dont drive when we are out together we will use the 2 singles.....so he will never use it anyway...

If its just looks and not that its to big or not very sturdy then yanbu

slushy06 · 31/05/2010 12:57

I agree now if he was saying it doesn't fit in the boot or something then fair enough but if it is looks then YANBU.

CheekyPinkSox · 31/05/2010 13:02

he wont be using it though will he so tell him that.

dct · 31/05/2010 13:03

biddysmama · 31/05/2010 13:07

first wheels twin city, ive had a go with it, sat dd in etc... i know someone selling one for £150 with carrycot, raincovers and bag, she bought it before finding out she was having twins with another under 2 already..

that doesn't even look funny! If its only you that's using it then it should be up to you.

Can I just say we had that double. My two DS's are also 14 months apart. It was an awful pushchair. We paid full price for it and I felt massively disappointed with it. It was fine when DS2 was tiny but as they both got heavier (DS2 about 6 months) the handle bar used to collapse every time we went up or down a kerb. We may just have had a fluke bad one, but I from our experience would strongly recommend a different double. We then had to go out and buy another double and that ended up stood in the garage.

Sorry I know that wasn't your question but I know money can be tight with two babies.

double buggys are the work of the devil. (having had to use one constantly for 18months)

So if he's saying he doesn't like it, and bearing in mind mummy2 experience, I would search around for one that you both like and appears fairly painless to use.
Fully involve dh and then tell him how much he needs to pay.

Either he will butt out because he wasn't anticipating this much hassle or you will end up with a reasonable buggy.

Btw dont think I'd recommend m&p double pliko. quite awkward to manoeuvre.
