Ridiculous. Never heard of it - and an utterly stupid idea. Is the CDWM woman eating off her patio?

victoriascrumptious · 30/05/2010 19:32

Bleaching gets rid of mould, no reason to do it often though

marrs · 30/05/2010 19:33

Hmmm... not sure... I only bleach my lady garden once a week...

wukter · 30/05/2010 19:33

Bleaching a patio!
I never heard of this thing.

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 30/05/2010 19:37

Do patio's go mouldy?! Mine is just out there, being all stoney and free of fungus. It is decorated with chicken poo, though. The rain takes care of that, however.

victoriascrumptious · 30/05/2010 19:39

Yes they do-suprised yours hasnt what with the chicken poo

victoriascrumptious · 30/05/2010 19:39

Also if sugar ever gets on it then it goes mouldy

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 30/05/2010 19:41

Well, you learn something new every day. To be fair, if there ever was any mould attempting to grow, the hens would eat it. Perhaps that's why they've been so healthy .

wukter · 30/05/2010 19:43

I thought salt was for patios.

MarineIguana · 30/05/2010 19:49

I used to paint our old patio with yoghurt to encourage moss to grow in the cracks.

orienteerer · 30/05/2010 19:53

This is a joke isn't it?

Is it a euphemism?

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 30/05/2010 19:55

My neighbour hoovered her drive once. I posted about it on here, and she wasn't alone

belgo · 30/05/2010 19:56

Liz Jones (Daily Mail) used to hoover her patio.

My DH has OCD by proxy. Everything needs to be perfect but someone else must do the work.

OnEdge · 30/05/2010 20:33

my mil dusts 3 times a day

Tiredmumno1 · 30/05/2010 20:47

someone near us does this, but it all floods out all over the path so i have no choice but to walk through the rancid smelling stuff. and its started turning the path a light pinkish colour.

but seriously the stench is awful.

taffetacat · 30/05/2010 20:49

I hoover everything - patio, table, chairs, worktops etc. Sometimes hoover the DC.

Mowing the lawn is just the gardening equivalent of hoovering.

I also saw the thread title and wondered what bleaching one's patio was a euphemism for.

Lonnie · 30/05/2010 21:23

Ok WAIT I have to CLEAN the patio? I mean a quick sweep with a brush is not enough>???

Alouiseg · 30/05/2010 21:28

I Hoover the patio. Sweeping and jet washing just moves the dust and grot.

orienteerer · 30/05/2010 21:29

Vacum patio?......I don't even sweep it!
