Are there any public places where you are NOT allowed to breastfeed?

That's it really - I'm planning on breastfeeding, and was wondering if there are any public places where it is not allowed?

I am trying to figure out why my message was deleted? I meant surfing as in the sea - but I suppose it could have been interpreted as surfing the internet??

PMSL at AGM of Nestle Inc

I've BF on a safari bus and a steam train. Not by choice, just having to fit in with the in-laws plans because of course babies only need BF for a few weeks. It was OK though.

I'm also wondering why your post was deleted bodenbore, maybe it was just a mistake by tech

Nestle AGM as well!

Actually, it's a criminal offense to stop someone BF in public in Scotland but it's a CIVIL offense in England and presumably Wales. Meaning, while in theory the police should intervene in Scotland which gives you more support, you are protected under law in England as well but you would have to take up the case yourself. But the law is still there.

Maternity laws protect babies up to 6 months.
Sexual discrimination law protects babies older than 6 months.
Indecent exposure law DOES NOT APPLY to breastfeeding.

So no, individual restaurants and cafes, etc, can't make their own rules.
