AIBU to think Harrods should get a grip

lol at 'signage'. Could be in design too with that language.

If they didn't ask the cafe to change it I'm pretty sure there would be a rash of small businesses trying to emulate the look of Harrods. I'm sure Louis Vuitton is damaged by the shed load of fakes trying to look like a 'luxury brand'.

Even if it was the woman's genuine signature (which I doubt), it's probably not a valid defence.

Whose to say she didn't base her signature on the very famous Harrods logo - after all both words are similar in shape & 'feeling' (not sure how else to say that but I'm sure trice would be able to explain that better than I)so she may well have done years ago.

Is it just an incredible coincidence that not only does she sign her name that way, but in gold too?

I think she's stretching the truth here.

I would argue that because their logo runs in a slanted direction, whereas Harrods doesn't and because the letters are slightly different, Harrods may not get away with it. Having said I would say the cafe has had £14ks worth of publicity anyway so
