Was in boots today just mooching around and came across this wonderful new (?) product that gave your hair an added lift. Just some extension/wig type thing.
What got me laughing was the name...

Bumpits

I think ive been hanging round with my 3 and a half year old too much and his sense of humour is rubbing off on me...

They look really silly, and I cannot believe that they would not fall out.

Now I know how the wife of DH's American colleague gets her hair to puff up like that. Must have a look and see if I can spot her Bumpit.

I looked at them out of the box and they look like protracters with a grip on them - i cant see how theyd stay in.

I would have giggled for sure, then bought one to show my friends so we could giggle some more.
Surely The Hollywood Bumpit that is being advertised means having no hair at all

Ive bought some today .

I saw these recently and it took me ages to twig it was called bump it. I stodd there for quite awhile wondering why you'd possibly need a hair styling product for your bum pit.

I got dp over to look and he a good snigger too, so notjust you!

They are bloody hard to get in .....

They make you look like your head is being humped by a tribble.

My DH has worked for Boots for 5yrs. And is now a store manager of a local Boots pharmacy.

But he STILL laughs every time he sees the hair removal product, Nads.

Every. Freakin. Time.

Especially when they're on offer - a third off Nads, buy one Nad get one free...

Well I do.

So I will tell you.

I am a huge fan of of TV shopping channels. I can watch them for hours. They are mesmerizing and I my dream job would be to be a presenter.

So this woman (think she is Australian) had a daughter who was quite hairy. So she invented this product for removing hair. Her DD was called Nadia or Nadine or something like that.

So she named the product, soon to go global, that would forever remind her DD that she was over hursuite (or however you bloody spell it), after her poor DD.

She didnt even use her full, pretty name.
She shortened it to an ugly, gonad inspired nickname.

Way to go mom!

I made the mistake of telling DH (and his son who was staying over) about Bumpits!

It's a good thing his store is quite small and probably won't stock them. He'd never get any work done!
