to be sick of dead pigeon?

Someone over the back of our garden was shooting pigeons. Some fell into our garden (which we could remove). One got stuck very high up in a tree on their side of the fence but leans over (tree is 30-40 feet tall). We couldn't get it out. This was a couple of months ago and it is still there.

Now the leaves have grown we can't see it but with the weather the last couple of days we can smell it.

It reeks to put it mildly.

I have got all the windows open as it is boiling and I can now smell it in the house. It is also right by the washing line and the only space I have to dry inside is in the tumble dryer. Though yesterday the stuff dried so quickly it didn't pick up the smell (and that was sofa covers).

I have an assessment at home this morning and now my house stinks.

And I'm pregnant and huge so don't really want all windows shut and boiling house.

We did call the RSPB when it happened but as we don't know who did the shooting (block of flats out back) or when exactly it was done then they can't do much.

AIBU to be fucked off with dead pigeon?

Of course not - how grim! Is there someone like environmental health/the council you could call to remove it? As a health hazard?

I don't think so as it is on private land and they tend to only remove stuff on public (is housing association land).

HA are known for being crap.

Ohhh im sure you can quote something to the council that makes them come and remove things on private land. Cant remember what though so that's not very helpful sorry!

I know we had to do it at work because someone had left needles next to our bins and because it was on private car park they reckoned they wouldnt remove them but we were able to quote some environmental act that had them hotfooting it over.

Hopefully someone knows what im on about and knows more about it!

ooh that sounds good.

Just put washing out and wind direction has changed so not quite so bad out there now.
