Skips prettily about the vast empty potentiality of the empty Hall and awaits.

Hello my lovely IPOAT comrades!

Am now thinking of all day breakfast mmmmmmmmm

Mimi I do hope you made a cheeky comment about often fancying a large hot sausage in the morning

We are all having a chilled day today with no visitors...bliss.

Wibble.

I do love that word and can't stop saying it today.

Jamieandhismagictorch · 05/07/2010 13:21

Gibbon - you sound so happy .

I really really want to know her name, because I am a bit of a Baby Names obsessive. But I would completely understand if you didn't want to say for reasons of piracy privacy

I had brunch at Giraffe today - on my own. That Mexican pancaky/pizza type thing with lots of yummy stuff - eggs, avocado, tomatoes, onions, cheese

< bloated but 'appy >

Hullygully · 05/07/2010 16:03

I am a bit of a Baby Names obsessive

Jamie - a bit?

Gibbon, you sound v fluffy. Does her head have that lovely smell?

OP posts:
Jamieandhismagictorch · 05/07/2010 16:43

yes, I admit - I am obsessed. I think it must be because my own name is very unusual

Gibbon · 05/07/2010 16:55

Yes her head has that amazing smell, it's intoxicating...

I have an unusual name too Jamie I would post her name but I am mega private on MN..I am feeling v brave posting her pic but know it's only you guys that can see it

She is such an easy baby, it worries me a little tbh that she doesn't do crying. Midwife said she is content and laid back, hope that's what it is....is it weird for newborns to be so chilled?

Jamieandhismagictorch · 05/07/2010 17:04

No worries, I completely understand

DS2 was a very easy baby too. Only cried a bit when he was hungry, and slept a lot. I didn't know what hadn't hit me.

Gibbon · 05/07/2010 17:08

Yes she sleeps tons

I though DD1 was easy but you would hardly know DD2 is in the house...lol @ I didn't know what hadn't hit me.

Jamieandhismagictorch · 05/07/2010 17:14

... DS2 being easy was great, because poor old DS1 was completely thrown by his new brother, and Lord knows how I'd have coped with a colicky baby and a rampant toddler.

I find it so interesting how temperamentally different mine were right from day 1. People talk about Boys and Girls and what they supposed to be like, but I think when you have 2 the same sex it shows quite how much is down to temperament.

Gibbon · 05/07/2010 17:23

Absolutely, I think second time around I am way more chilled so this may contribute to the placidness. I'm not complaining and am sure all is fine, just seems a bit weird IYKWIM.

MadameDefarge · 05/07/2010 22:02

Jamie, do come....Crush will be there, you can evaluate and report back....

Jamieandhismagictorch · 05/07/2010 22:04

I will come

< worries about what to wear >

MadameDefarge · 05/07/2010 23:09

yes, I see your dilemma, what to wear to visit Chatsworth Road on a Wednesday daytime? Fraught with etiquette trauma...I suggest a fine pair of britches and a ruffly shirt...

Or some chef whites and a teatowel would probably work for me....

Umami · 06/07/2010 06:47

Don't forget your cgi.ebay.co.uk/c-1820-AMAZING-ORIENTAL-INSPIRED-RETICULE-/270601548846?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Vintage_Men_s WomensAccessories&hash=item3f011bf42e#ht1164wt_913reticule...

Umami · 06/07/2010 06:47

Bollocks

reticule

Jamieandhismagictorch · 06/07/2010 10:21

That reticule looks like no bollocks I've ever seen ...

I may carry a fan and fan myself prettily while eyeing up Madame and/or Crush (can't quite remember what gender/sexuality I am)

Umami · 06/07/2010 19:21

'Tis a reticule for keeping ones bollocks in - it will be useful as you swoop between genders.

Jamieandhismagictorch · 06/07/2010 21:17

Am feeling weirdly nervous about tomorrow - something akin to a date/interview. I hope I shall not disappoint Madame

Gibbon · 06/07/2010 22:11

oohhhh and IPOAT meet of sorts, how exciting! I do hope you will both slip a little surreality into the occasion.

MadameDefarge · 07/07/2010 00:11

oh, Jamie, wot fun! I might be stuck down in the kitchen, but please come down...I need to show you a) my immaculate kitchen (though it might be a bit messy) and b) Crush... I might well be crying in a corner, but my trusty staff are brill at keeping me going ( I have been known to stand next to the fridge and bang my head against it moaning "I can do this, I can do this!")

Jamieandhismagictorch · 07/07/2010 06:52

Sounds reassuring surreal already . Was going to ask how I shall recognise you - but I now know you'll be the one banging your head against kitchen appliances ... Will do my best to be there by 12. That OK?

Mucho love. Adieu ....

Hullygully · 07/07/2010 08:13

Oh oh oh, am so jealous, I want to meet everyone.

I was thinking about how one would recognise Mimi, I thought one could check out her pins - which would be interesting if one was incognito.

OP posts:
pagwatch · 07/07/2010 10:02

oh def jealous too!

[not fair]

Gibbon , kiss Giblet for me xx

Umami · 07/07/2010 10:24

at gratuitous use of Giblet!

Hullygully · 07/07/2010 11:43

Do any of you ever go/have ever been/would ever go to any meet-ups (like the xmas one)?

OP posts:
Umami · 07/07/2010 11:53
