theres an alley through out houses to get to my front garden, but its the only other way to get to her back garden other than though her house..

her back steps come down to the alley but her gate starts next to the steps so technically her steps are in my garden

still with me? she has a gated garden, i dont unless i put a gat on the alley whish still means her steps are in my garden

sooo, she was sunbathing on her steps today (??) and had her gate open and her dogs running in and out of her house, me and dd (14 months) went out and one of her dog started barking and running at us, in my garden and she just called it back and it ignored her..its a young staff...

i now have a lovely poo collection in my garden

if she has a gate should her dog sbe kept at the other side of it so they cant shit get in my garden

thanks if you managed to get through all that!

trying to picture the layout, but if she has a gate she should keep it closed. Her dogs shouldn't be in your garden if you have a 4 month old, and they especialy shouldn't be pooing there! Additionally, if they're in your garden, which isn't gated, does that not means the dogs could escape into the alley?

ApocalypseCheese · 22/05/2010 19:44

Ah I get ya. You have an alley --- which then splits in to two like this. ---> the arrow tip represents each gates btw.

I used to have a layout like that, YANBU. she should have kept her gate shut!

biddysmama · 22/05/2010 19:45

yes, but the alley is gate so they couldnt get into my front garden.. her steps dont lead into her part of the garden the lead to mine and the gae is next to them

confusing, sorry

Just pick up the mess and throw it back on her lawn. And tell her to keep her dogs in her garden.
Is there no way of putting up your own gate or even a fence?
We have a problem around our way, lady 3 doors down lets her 4 dogs run around by themselves, thankfully just for 20 mins each time, but if anyone steps outside, they start with a howling bark (quite scary) and they run as a pack towards you.
One day I was carrying my daughter as she was scared of them and they came running up to us.
I had no weapon so did the only I could think of which was to hiss like a cat and look 'scary'.
Well that did the trick as two of them fell over and ran off whimpering So at least I know they are cowards.

Can you put a fence round her steps so that she and her dogs cant acess your garden? Or alternatively, pick up the shit and post it through her letterbox with a note saying keep your bloody dogs out of my garden or else next time I will stuff it down your throat?

Saggyoldclothcatpuss · 23/05/2010 00:56

Or go and crap on her lawn?

ShinyAndNew · 23/05/2010 01:24

Yes her dog should be in her own garden. She should not be allowing in your garden. If he accidentally gets into your garden she should be apologising and cleaning up his crap.

However I do not see the relevance of the breed of dog of her sun bathing on the steps???

biddysmama · 24/05/2010 14:59

i mentioned the dog breed to show that it wasnt a little dog that ran up to my dd and that she was sunbathing on her steps to show she was there but not in her garden...
