to not like breakfast in bed

I really, really don't even when ill I don't like eating in bed, you have to sit up properly and move all the pillows and then it's not comfy and if anything gets spilled the bed gets dirty and crumby and ick.

It's my birthday this weekend and DD1 is 4 so it's the firts borthday she has been able to get involved in.
She is insistent that I should have cereal and toast in bed in the morning whereas I want to be left TF alone until I wake up and then I will have breakfast on the sofa or the table.

I HATE breakfast in bed! PLease tell me I'm not alone!

I would never leave my bed given the choice, it is all warm and snuggly - I can live with crumbs.

I HATE breakfast in bed. Crumbs, yurg. Having said that, if my DD wanted to bring me breakfast in bed I'd definitely encourage the general sentiment, then as she gets older start moving her towards the general idea of a beautifully laid birthday breakfast table, newspaper, fresh orange juice, smoked salmon, croissants, etc

I have had a 'chat' with DH and luckily he is in agreement and hates breakfast in bed (who knew, we've only been together 15 years...) so will encourage the table breakfast.

I am sucha spoilsport
