I have a temp, as does DD2, alogn with a sore throat and cough, and it's not as if she does much anyway.
I really can't face getting dressed and then getting both of them dressed as well and then having to do it all again in a few hours.

I did this on Thursday, DD2 had a slight cold but I felt crap.

cocolepew · 17/05/2010 07:57

Smear yourself in Vicks, it cures all ills.

ditavonteesed · 17/05/2010 08:00

but surely if you can face it your day will be easier with her at school.
tons of sympathy.

BudaisintheZONE · 17/05/2010 08:08

I was going to suggest that if you got her to school you might get a chance to rest up but if she is not well either I would stay home and have a duvet day.

FabIsGoingToGetFit · 17/05/2010 08:09

YABU.

How old is she and what do you mean she doesn't do much?

She's 4, it's nursery school, I forgot that, didn't I?!

She only goes in 9-half 11 so if DD2 and I come home for a nap we would only ghet a few hours anyway and then have to get redressed.

She has a 'bit' of a cough and is milking it for all it's worth

a duvet day might help. But make sure she goes in tomorrow.

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 17/05/2010 08:15

coco, I tried that once, it got in DD2's hair and then she rubbed it in my face and it was unpleasant to sa the leats.

Good idea riv, she knows how to work the telly as well, genius

Yes. One day is ok. Just don't make a habit of it! Get well soon!

FabIsGoingToGetFit · 17/05/2010 08:25

If you mean nursery, keep her off, if you mean reception you should take her in.

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 17/05/2010 08:35

Fba, it is half day nursery, reception in september. brain so woolly I can't explain myself properly!

I always considered nursery to be optional so YANBU.

Morloth · 17/05/2010 09:28

We have had a couple of days this term where DS1 has missed school because DS2 has had a bad night and DH has already left for work.

Our lovely school is fine with it (and given there are about 10 newborn baby bros/sisters it is happening a lot).

A day here and there isn't going to matter.

DaftApeth · 17/05/2010 09:43

As it is nursery, I think it is absolutely fine to keep her off.

If it was school, it would be different.

Hope you feel better very soon.

DaftApeth · 17/05/2010 09:44

oh rats, wrong button!

{are you JB? How is mil?}

stealthsquiggle · 17/05/2010 09:46

It's nursery - and half day at that?

No question then - back under the duvet you go!

SeaTrek · 17/05/2010 10:49

Nursery school - YANBU - hope you both feel better soon

2shoes · 17/05/2010 10:51

seeker · 17/05/2010 10:56

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 17/05/2010 11:59
