My dd is 2 she has a Mclaren which is tiny, she does walk but the buggy comes in very handy for the school runs, shopping trips.
We are going on holiday this year and the maclaren is not that comfortable, and it looks worn, aibu to buy a petite star,Im trying to justify needing it for another year at least.

I came to say that it's never unreasonable to buy an new pushchair , but having read your op you would be unreasonable and a bit mad to buy a new pushchair to take on holiday if you are flying. A new one will almost certainly look old and battered by the time it's flown out and back, just take your old one.

The only reason to buy another pushchair would be if yours doesn't recline and you need your DD to sleep in it. In that case it would be reasonable to buy a cheap second-hand one.

I think that if you want one you should buy one.Your dd will use it on and off for at least another year. I bought a baby jogger city mini when my dd was 18mths approx. It has loads of room and folds very easily. I know some people think it is a waste of money at that age, but my dd uses it several times a week if I have to go out and she is tired. She is 2.7 now and still has lots of room. The comfort of your baby is very important

Of course (evil planning here) you might find that your old one gets knackered by the baggage handlers so you will need to buy a new one when you get back.

It is handy to have a pushchair when there are time constraints, even when the child is a good walker as you can just strap her in when she's being awkward rather than rushing painfully to the school gate with a tantrumming child in your arms. You could also consider a Mini Micro scooter if you have a child who will stay reasonably sensible on it and not try to escape from you. DD has been using hers since she was about 22 months and she can shoot along at a fast walking pace for quite a fair distance.

Saslou, I love my BJCM too. My skinny almost-6 yr old can even fit in it. It's not good on escalators unfortunately so I have also resurrected my very old Maclaren Volo for tube trips.
