AIBU to expect all the mail that has come for my ex in the last four/five years that has been returned should have stopped by now.?

Its one company in particular that I do not have any products with that continue to mail even though every thing has gone back with an explaination that he has moved.

I have called them before and they said it would stop it hasnt.

Callers as in phone callers? - "sorry, there is nobody here with that name" Or "the previous occupant(s) has/have moved"

Ask Royal Mail to stop that company's mail coming to you. We asked our brilliant postman at our previous address about a similar issue and he said he's speak to our local depot, put a marker on to inform all posties we didn't want that mail.......

It worked. Could you try that?

issysmilkbottle · 15/05/2010 15:23

write to that company and tell them to stop sending mail, threaten to report them to appropriate body if they don't... Check which it is online... Perhaps then it'll stop, also worth contacting credit reference agencies and let them know for their records....

jellyjelly · 15/05/2010 15:30

Well we are no longer linked as far as i know.

Yes it is telephone callers - i always try to find out who they are first and tellthem that he hasnt lived here for years but they still call. I dont think or want to change my number as its my house now.

Maybe try the 'no-one of that name' line. Be more abrupt. They'll soon get bored..... hopefully...

You shouldn't have to change anything. It's YOUR house now.

I bet it's pissing you off though if it's all the time.........

Just write return to sender and pop back in the post.

We still get (junk) mail from the previous owners of our house, and we moved here 13 years ago.

jellyjelly · 15/05/2010 15:42

Its always the same company that are trying, thats what's annoying me after all this time and i have 'returned to sender' on the mail.

Mouseface · 15/05/2010 15:46

Seriuosly? They ask all that?

Tell them to fuck the fuck off! Really, do it.

Are you with BT? You can register with TSP. It's free and will cut alot of shit calls you get.

Then you can tell these fuckwits you're on TPS and the HAVE TO stop calling you.

We have issues with 'witheld ID'. I need to answer them as they may be one of DS's army of health profs.

Most now know to call my mobile with an non withheld number but new additions to his team call the house..........

Thesecondcoming,
Where can I find out about this statute of Debt thing?

mumdrivenmad · 15/05/2010 16:36

I second the Telephone prefrence Service. IF a call gets through, I ask, are you in the UK? If they answer yes, I say would you like an enormous fine for your company? It's usually a silence after this, then I say very slowly telephone preference service, and they are either very appologetic or hang up

mumdrivenmad · 15/05/2010 16:39

I think it is the statute of limitation

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 15/05/2010 16:43

TPS is great but it doesn't sotp me getting calls for people who haven't lived here for 10 years. The shitter call centres have out of date call lists, and that is the problem.

Tell them to fuck off.

MrsGokWan · 15/05/2010 17:23

statute of limitation
