Facebook.

A girl in my friends list got married today. I know because of her numerous status updates and photo uploads (of the wedding, on the same day as the wedding). I mean c'mon, just leave it out for one day of your life? Especially your wedding day!

Same with people going on holiday and uploading photos and updating status' constantly whilst away.

Seriously, not cool. Can't you just enjoy yourselves without constantly uploading every detail?

Seems life is about photos for facebook and not just about memories these days.

Thats a wicked idea StephysFamous! I guess my beef is more with people who just constantly feel the need to display their life, in fine detail on FB. It's like they are living life just for FB.

Like when out the other night, girls on the table next to us taking snaps and screaming 'profile pic, defo!' And the pics of girls on a night out, posing against, I dunno, say a lampost, one after the other, the same pic, just different girl, just to put on fb.

I updated my status and uploaded a picture the night DS was born from my phone in the hospital... It was an amazing moment for me, I was proud, I wanted to show him off. Sounds to me like she was doing a similar thing; it was her big day, she wanted everyone to be excited for her and share in it.

Think its quite ironic you're saying this on an internet forum, by the way

StephysFamous · 13/05/2010 20:36

BattyKoda In some cases things HAVE to be added for the public to see.

MrsC2010 · 13/05/2010 20:48

On her wedding day?? Wow.

CheekyPinkSox · 14/05/2010 13:09

Someone on my friends list did that, they got married at 12.30 and at 2pm changed his marital status to MARRIED. Also my other friend got married on Saturday and within 3 hours of her saying i do, she had changed her name on FB.

BattyKoda · 14/05/2010 15:21

Surely there's more important things to be doing eh, CheekyPinkSox?! Crazyness.

Cupcakes - well that wasn't very nice to do was it?

And slightly sexist and patronising to say 'is your husband happy he's paid all that money...'

She probably did keep posting updates, she'd just deleted you for being a snide bitch

YANBU - I get constantly amazed a friends who post on nights out with 'just enjoying another cocktail' - wtf? - must be a really fun night out if you've got time to stop and update FB
