to want DH to help with DIY

If DIY or flatpack assembly needs doing it's either my job or 'we get a man in'. DH says he knows his limitations so can't won't do it.

What annoys me is that he won't even help. Last night I was trying to construct a play house. It was far moe difficult that I envisaged and needed a second pair of hands to hold things whilst I screwed things together. This really was too much effort for him. It was really badly made so a screwdriver wasn't going to do the job so I had to listen to repeated jibes about not having the right tools because if he was going to do it (which he never ever would) he'd have bought an electric screwdriver.

AIBU to just want a bit of help? I know as a woman I should be able to do this but sometimes a job needs 2 people and sometimes a job needs more strength than I've got. I have to admit I do feel that as a man he should step up to the plate and do this sort of job occasionally or help out without either making stupid comments or pretending he's too stupid to understand what the job requires.

Of course he should help you, but it has nothing to do with being a man.
