So, DD is almost 10 months old, and I've had the odd girls night out, and the odd night out with DH, which I always look forward to and enjoy, but tonight I've been invited to go to a neighbours house (who I don't know) along with all the other women in our street (some of whom I know) for drinks.... now, I'm sure it'll be good fun once I get there, but I've sat down now.... should I drag myself out in the name of being a good neighbour???

Yes, go! YABU!!! I always feel like this about going out generally & dread it / can't be bothered / think oh 'what am I going to say to them' etc. but nearly always glad I went in the end! Plus I think it is good to know your neighbours for a variety of reasons. If you already know a few of them and they are OK then slap on some lippy / eyeliner or whatever your thing is (mine is eyeliner!!) and go & have a night off and a drink! (but don't blame me if it's rubbish obviously )

I agree with biddy

Get your arse out there and have a large one for me . Also if they all turn out to be anooying and tedious it will give you something to bitch about later .

win win either way I reckon .

Girls - I wish you'd been there as you both sound like far better conversationalists than the women I was with tonight! {

You're right tho, I was BU, and am glad I got my @rse off the sofa - now a glass of wine and a debrief with DH, at least I got some good neighbour gossip
