Keep cringing.... I call my nephew 'Little Man/Fella/One' and 'Georgous Boy' and my Niece Princess/Little One etc along with smelly bum, scruffy, grubby little urchin, munchkin, peanut, cheeky chops, obnoxious pest (which they think belongs in a zoo).... all manner of things... so each to their own....

Except Bubba (in a pathetic tone of voice) - which just makes me want to heave - when said child is 4!

yabu it doesn't bother me @ all
although i dont use it myself

QueenofDreams · 29/04/2010 13:20

Don't mind Little Man although it has to be spelt properly. Anyone who spells 'little' as 'lil' should be locked up and taught to spell in a Clockwork Orange sort of way. Seriously. I really would.
Princess is extremely annoying. I really hate seeing 20 FB updates a day 'X has had a lovely day with her Princess' 'X had a fab time at the park with her princess' 'x has a poorly princess' Argh argh.

I call DS everything under the sun, except perhaps little man. Chicken, dumpling, lambchop, flowerpot, whatever comes out of my mouth really. He used to be scrumdiddlyumptious boy when he was a baby.

And I LOVE Mam and Mammy, 'cos that's what he calls me. There are no better words in any language anywhere in the world.

minxofmancunia · 29/04/2010 13:32

I'm not keen but then again my ds is "baby bear" or "handsome chappie" my dd is "minxelicious" or "angel" or "pretty lady"
DH calls ds "little hombre"

Dh is "furry" "furriness" or any other connotation thereof and to him I'm "pretty mummy" "slinky" or "wifey".

How sick making we all are.....

ChippingIn · 29/04/2010 14:21

QOD - I would never write Little Man or Princess though - only call them that (and Princess tongue in cheek more than 'nicely') and no more so than dumpling/spud/pumpkin/smelly/scruffy......
