To be upset that Dh has not bought me a card or a present for my birthday for the second year running

I may be totally U and childish but I felt compelled to have a moan about it. Its my birhday today and no card or present from dh and . He is not well at the moment, he has an infection on his foot so is not able to drive or walk very far so he said that he could not get to the shops, what happened last year then! That has not stopped him ordering things for himself online but nothing for me grrrrrr. He is not a hearts and flowers man, I knew that when i married him, but no effort grrrrrr

i'm not too bothered about pressies, but i definitely want it to be acknowledged.

that's mainly because we're quite poor: if we had money, i'd demand pressies too.

sounds like he's trying then - YABU to waste time moaning about it, but it's your brithday so up to you how you spend it!

I will stop moaning now then and enjoy the rest of the day. Yes nickelbabe i agree I dont expect expensive and pricy presents just a card. Dh has given me some money not a lot but something to buy something nice. So I am happy ,well its my birthday and i will cry if I want to

piglet my dh also Italian - is that why he got me f'ing little gift box with a tiny pot of tea and tiny pot of jam (he knows I hate jam) for my 40th birthday?

I've kept it as evidence for a divorce actually!
