brimfull · 22/04/2010 15:12

had highlights and cut and blowjob
came to mega £££

I found it really awkward when she took me to the reception to pay , receptionist dealt with the payment while she just stood there
it was obvious she was waiting for tip

all I had was a tenner so didn't give anything

left feeling like they were about to roll their eyes at 'tight bitch'

not my normal hairdresser btw

Oh come on Su you love these threads.

Next you will be on P&T parking threads.

And in late August there will be another Clarks thread

mountainmonkey · 22/04/2010 16:20

I've never tipped a hairdresser- its just never occurred to me. Its expensive as it is.

And why is it always cheaper for men?

Jamieandhismagictorch · 22/04/2010 16:42

My DH never tips me when I give him a blowjob

pagwatch · 22/04/2010 16:44

I just keep clicking on this thread to laugh. I especially like my own 'kind words of encouragement' line

[sad and deluded but highly amused in childish way]

Jamieandhismagictorch · 22/04/2010 16:47

< pats paggie on the head >

brimfull · 22/04/2010 16:50

arf
I know this threads been done to death
don't care

nobody has noticed I've even had my hair done -fuckers

blowjob is always crap at hairdressers-always go home and do it myself

Sometimes I tip, sometimes I don't.

I didn't tip the beautician last time I had a facial (first in 6 years I should add!). I felt a bit pressured into buying products and I spend another £75 on those (I KNOW she gets commision on them, and thought that was enough). It definately felt frosty as I left, and because of that I don't want to go back.

Jamieandhismagictorch · 22/04/2010 16:52

ggirl - lol

you hair looks great. Like you just stepped out of Ceylon (or something)

pagwatch · 22/04/2010 16:53

[boggles]

ggirl.
I think the word you are looking for is blowdry
Maybe that is why the hairdresser was waiting? Perhaps she was standing there hoping you would book another blowjob so she could a la childish MNers

shoptilidrop · 22/04/2010 16:53

psml

Poledra · 22/04/2010 16:54

Pagwatch, why did you direct me here?? I am in a serious professional meeting, y'know. I told you I was going to a meeting.

Blowjob

hophophippidtyhop · 22/04/2010 16:54

I've heard it's better if you're doing them yourself to lie on your arm first to make it go dead - oops sorry- that's for a hand job!

pagwatch · 22/04/2010 16:55

I love this thread. i am in love with ggirl even though she has made me need to do a pee...

DTWD · 22/04/2010 16:57

I only tip my hairdresser when I have a spare bit of change. I always feel bad if I leave without tipping and I'm sure she mouths 'b1tch' under her breath when I walk out. Last time the total amount was £22.50 and I handed over £23 thinking when she reached for the change I could say its ok you can keep it. Instead she put the money in the till, slammed it shut and just looked at me. I hesitated a bit too long then said an awkward goodbye and left! I hate tipping. They should just add in a bit extra onto the price then we all know where we stand!

Jamieandhismagictorch · 22/04/2010 16:58

hophophippidyhop - have you come across (phnarr phnarr) bibbitybobbityhat yet? What a mouthful that would be

pagwatch · 22/04/2010 16:59

hophop

"Ive heard..."
oh yeah

Jamieandhismagictorch · 22/04/2010 17:00

Seriously though. I never tip my hairdresser. It costs £47 < eyes water > I just give him a blowjob instead

hophophippidtyhop · 22/04/2010 17:04

Yes I have seen bibbity bobbity on here, did do a double take at first before realising it wasn't me! wathced too much bunnytown on disney when it used to be on!

PorphyrophillicPixie · 22/04/2010 17:10

I tip the girl who does my trims, but when I needed one and she was busy I booked a £12 appointment for the next day with a woman who then went on to charge me £17+ for a wet trim on short hair She didn't get a blooming tip. My hairdresser is great though, 'charges' a fiver per cut as she's still learning, I usually give her £7-10

brimfull · 22/04/2010 17:17

jamie-thanks ,dh just homeand he atleast noticed I had had it done.

I'm sure my regular hairdresser is gay despite being married, I probably wouldn't beable to give a good enough bj to equal the amount of dosh I parted with today.

expatinscotland · 22/04/2010 17:21

As a hairdresser I can say I honestly don't mind if I get a tip or not, it's my choice to work in the industry and if stylists are low paid they should go else where tbh.
Obviously the tips are great if they are given but I'm never going to give someone a bad service the next time because they didn't leave a tip.
Always find gents to be more giving but I'll put that down to my good looks.
I hate if people leave me a tip and nothing for the junior who in some cases has done a lot more running around than me, if I've had the help of a junior I'll always give them half of the tip even if it is only £1.
The juniors in the salon where I work only get £75pw.

Jamieandhismagictorch · 22/04/2010 17:27

I'm sorry, I cannot resist. Did he offer to stroke your pussy after he gave you the blowjob?

ggirl, you are making me laugh
