Because it really doesn't sit right and I don't like it any more. And it doesn't suit her. :-(

I love her middle name and fine that's no oprblem to call her that, but she is 6 months old and what do I do tell every operson we have decided to change her name???!!

And she will go through life with doctors calling out her name and her having to correct opeople. But her middle name is so much prettier.

DH agrees with me. But the children say they porefer her first name.

I don't know what to do.

Most people spend their lives listening to doctors calling out the incorrect version of their forename. Either that or you constantly have to correct the spelling of it. It really is the smallest of big deals!

Gracie is a lovely name. For a little girl. But leaving aside the difficulties presented when "Gracies" don't grow into very graceful adults, your dd is just as likely to get fed up with having to correct the constant assumption that her real name is Grace.

So I'd leave well alone. Both Rachel and Grace are lovely names. It is not unusual for people to be known by their middles names but most importantly, what your dd grows up to be known as won't be up to you. So give her more options, not fewer.

i also forgot, the mum of my mindee uses her middle name rather than her 1st name as she doesn't like it .

i think if you explain to her when she is of good age then the things like doctors calling out her real name etc wont faze her etc.
