To think that Sean Connery was the best Bond?

I can't like Connery in that way. My Dad always get's 'Ooh! Don't you look like Sean Connery!'

Another vote for Timothy Dalton here. He was the real Bond. They wanted him years before that but he turned them down. Shame, we'd never have had to suffer that eejit Roger Moore if he hadn't. He's a proper actor not just a pretty boy (which is a stretch applied to Moore obv), he's gorgeous and he played Bond as a real character and not a charicature. No question who was the best. Case closed

It depends what you want from your Bond TBH.

Sean Connery was a smoothie mysoginist who could fight and look mean/cool.
Roger Moore was a smoothie who could talk his way out of trouble and occasionaly throw an ineffective punch that somehow knocked out 3 people at once.
The less said about George Lazenby the better.
Daniel Craig is a thug hardman but a lot closer to the real bond than any of the others apart from
Timothy Dalton. Who did all his own stunts and was hugely believeable.

TD did 2 Bonds, The Living Daylights and Licence to Kill.

I like Sean Connery as bond best, but my favourite Bond film - as in the car, baddie, girl and (most importantly!)theme has Roger in (The Spy Who Loved Me)

Daniel Craig and Pierce are/were pretty good, 'different'. But Connery was the best, I couldn't STAND Roger Moore. Too smooth and slimy...urgh!
