and stay away from the remains of the gravel left over from the gritting attack we had last week. So AIBU not to mollycoddle my DS1 when he goes flying off his bike after going too bloody fast and skidding in the gravel?

I mean i picked him up, disentagled him from his bike, cleaned and dressed all the scrapes on his hands, elbows, knees and the one on his chin where the handlebar hit him.(thank god he was wearing his helmet with the chin guard), but i refused to "pet" him or give him cuddles because as far as i could see it was his own bloody fault and he should have listened to me?

he has just turned 6 by the way.....

jurisfictionoperative · 17/04/2010 02:11

been in a drug induced coma all day, bloody annoyed with my dp, hungry and not a bit tired.
where else would I be but mumsnet! I can complain, laugh, join a heated discussion or just lurk moodily, and not have to endure major league male sulking for days after!

outnumbered2to1 · 17/04/2010 02:14

hello i'm back the wee soul has fallen asleep in my bed (on my side i might add) so i might just let sleeping ronan's lie

jurisfictionoperative · 17/04/2010 02:31

Please, dont worry about the mrs. jfo is fine. No, just a hobby. I dont sleep well either, so it kills time! I do love a good discussion though. And I do love sticking my oar in!

Tiredmumno1 · 17/04/2010 02:45

Lol i love a good scuffle too , i am so glad your ok bout the mrs jfo thing, so much easier.

but i dont suppose there is much to stick your oar into this late lol.

jurisfictionoperative · 17/04/2010 02:52

Tiredmumno1 · 17/04/2010 02:55

Night mrs jfo enjoy the rest of your evening, hope to bump into you again.

and remember to take care of that oar

SpeedyGonzalez · 19/04/2010 21:28

jfo - are you a Jasper Fforde fan, perchance?!

jurisfictionoperative · 19/04/2010 23:09

Speedy, absolutely! Jasper fforde is the bogs dollocks! I totally think he is fantastic! So many classics, mixed in with daftness, randomidity, and sheer knowledge about literature in general! He is either a genius, or completely unhinged!
And in case I haven't made myself clear, yes, I quite like him!

SpeedyGonzalez · 20/04/2010 15:58

Rofl! Me too! The Eyre Affair was such a breath of fresh air - unlike anything I'd read before! What a marvellous mind!
