they were driving me potty with their noise and their fighting. bloody dh who works from home, cant make a single phone call without wailing in the background. not a good thing when you are trying to sound all professsional, and he is on my case to take them out somewhere.
i dont want to spend yet another day out of the house. i just want to be in myown house today.

fwiw, they are having a fabulous time outside, actually playing. instead of the usual fighting or moaning baout not being ablet o watch telly programme of choice . etc. the youngest is seven, so not exactly babies

Lololol @ Beanpot - that's fab!

My Nan used to look after me and my cousins on Saturdays and we would regularly be chucked out into the garden and not allowed back in for hours. Though in fairness we were given a hammer and some nails and pointed towards the old tree stump for entertainment (I'm not even making that up)

That's what the garden's for! I always chuck mine out there and they have a great time. They're 5 and 3 and I'm hoping that long will it continue.

We call this "turning out."

"Have you turned out the children today?" "Yes, they were out for an hour after lunch."

Like horses. To be fair, I go out with them but that's because I'm the nanny so it's kind of obligatory. When I'm a parent I fully intend to have a stable-esq door to the back garden and pass out snacks/drinks that way.
