With 3 year old ds, a party pack of haribo (or similar) and see how quickly the fuckers get my car back to me then.

They have had it since 11 this morning, supposed to have been 45 mins.. We have been wandering round town like nomads since then and i'm getting a wee bit fucking fed up.

but jooly, kwik don't charge any more than that for an mot. But work needed done.

my local garage charged me a fucking fortune for an mot and service, and I swear only because of the huge cost.

lol re not acceptable not to phone with information. I don't think I've known a garage or tradesman to be quick off the mark with his phone calls.

[shrug] My local garage is fab and can MOT a car in 30 minutes. I tend to wait for the MOT as I know it's only half an hour but when work's been done on it, they phone to say what needs doing and when it's been done. Not only that, rather than rip me off for unnecessary work, they told me the brakes I'd taken the car in to have done did not actually need doing for a good six months and they just changed the oil as I'd asked.

Renault, OTOH, gave me a long list of nearly £2k worth of work that "needed" doing and Kwik Fit took an hour and a half to change 4 tyres.

I think you need to change your garage/tradesmen
