YABU. Go and make dinner or mow the lawn or do something else useful.

JaynieB · 11/04/2010 19:33

Probably! A couple of nights ago my DP came and told me there was a really good film on TV and I should come, but what he really meant was 'please get off MN'

JaynieB · 11/04/2010 19:34

Sorry - I meant to say, probably not!

ShinyAndNew · 11/04/2010 19:34

YABU. But you must have guessed we would say that.

BuzzingNoise · 11/04/2010 19:34

Hey JaynieB, whose side are you on?

JaynieB · 11/04/2010 19:35

Both. My poor DP is a bit of an MN widower.

InVinoFerretsAss · 11/04/2010 19:35

Probably not...my DH calls himself a "Mumsnet widow" sometimes.

Tis addictive though!

mrbunhead · 11/04/2010 19:36

hey I've mown the lawn, done the ironing, planted some plants and fed the child, what more could I do?

OP posts:
InVinoFerretsAss · 11/04/2010 19:36

Ah...make that "Mumsnet widower" even

Jamieandhismagictorch · 11/04/2010 19:36

Couldn't possibly judge. More info needed please.

beanpot · 11/04/2010 19:36

why mr bun head? have you a bun on your head?...

compo · 11/04/2010 19:37

Only if you've got a better offer - like you're cooking dinner for her, you've booked a babysitter and are taking her out
if it's just so you can surf the net urself yadbu, lol

JustMyTwoPenceWorth · 11/04/2010 19:37

Depends how much time she spends on here and if the family is suffering because she prioritises MN above the kids or something.

Erm, you're not mine, are you? (just checking!!)

mrbunhead · 11/04/2010 19:38

as in the scientist guy from brainiac, I can do science me!

OP posts:
ande · 11/04/2010 19:38

It depends. Does she ever ask you to spend less time on your PS/Xbox/Blackberry/sports channel etc?

Are you perfect?

Please go and unball your dirty socks from the laundry basket and then have a good think.

Thediaryofanobody · 11/04/2010 19:38

YABU I hope you don't have any hobbies/interest or she may ask in return for you to give them up, are you prepared for that?
Instead of MN what do you want her to be doing?

leavingonajetplane · 11/04/2010 19:39

Excellent!

Well you can always ask....

mrbunhead · 11/04/2010 19:41

actually i did make her dinner although twas only beans on toast so not a great achievement!

OP posts:
Thediaryofanobody · 11/04/2010 19:42

But what do you want her to be doing instead?

mrbunhead · 11/04/2010 19:43

I don't know really maybe a nice conversation?

OP posts:
mrbunhead · 11/04/2010 19:45

but having been surrounded by you lovely ladies for the past five minutes I can see the attraction, it is a bit addictive.

OP posts:
JaynieB · 11/04/2010 19:45

I like him.

Thediaryofanobody · 11/04/2010 19:46

So the problem is you don't talk enough?
Do you BOTH make time for each other when the kids are in bed?
Have you told her how you feel?

LittleMrsHappy · 11/04/2010 19:46

I think if a man comes on and asks his wife to spend some one to one time, then their is a issue within the relationship.

I come on here, when its suitable for both of us, not just me, and I definitely would not be ignoring my husband for a Internet website.
