Every time I make a coffee for my mum she leaves a small amount in the bottom. I noticed after the first few times I put it in the dishwasher without noticing! It literally is every time.
With real coffee the last little bit can be full of grounds/very thick but this is instant! I realised my aunt (her sister) does it too the other day - is it just them or do they know something I don't?

Do you have limescale ishoos?

Does she?

I leave half the cup at my mother's coz she never cleans out her kettle.

I always find that the last little bit is too cold for me to drink. I only like my hot drinks hot, unlike h, who waits until his tea is luke warm

i do this becuase I live in a had waer area and I get small amounts of scale at the bottom of the cup...

My DH does this!!! And I hate it as have repeatedly doused my feet, hands, floor with his leftover dregs. arghhh!!

KAEKAE · 10/04/2010 10:34

I do it all the time, with every drink! I am not sure why with cool drinks, but with hot drinks I always think there will be scale in there esp if I am in someone elses house.

My mum does this too! It drives me mad because ds is usually jumping round and spills it, or I pick it up with another cup in the same hand and spill it on the floor.
The worse was when dd got hold of it- she is only 13 months and has only twice slept through the night, she finished it off and smacked her lips with great glee. I now have to keep coffee miles away from her because the insomniac little midden has clearly developed a taste for it!

I do this too!

I even have my coffee in a massive mug so I can drink a full cup and leave some ...somehow an entire, smaller, cup is Not The Same.

(I also always leave the last bite of a sandwich....)
