ARGH

What is this thing?

It seems like an attempt by the bank (Barclays) to pass on liability for fraud from them to me.

That's anti-consumer enough - but worse, it just doesn't work! It keeps declining me.

And why do they require my email address anyway? I get enough spam through the mail, don't need more in my inbox.

AIBU to rant at Barclays/Visa/the world? GRRRRRRRR

I've never had a single problem from it, it never takes more than 5 seconds to type in what it requires from my password and I've never had junk mail from them.

Well it is a pain remembering the password etc, BUT when my card was cloned recently (no idea how, it was never out of my sight) there were several transactions attempted that didn't go through, and they were all the verified by visa ones.

Thanks WebDude - I'll get it registered then. Can I go to a site and do it or do I have to wait until next time I'm doing an online order?

Oh, and can you register Amex cards too? That's the one I use most now (as we get more points LOL)

Just coming back on here to say that I had to do the verified for Visa the other day (when paying for a new washing machine online) - drove me nuts as I put in the details as they requested but it still "failed". So had to phone them and go through the process via a different method.

All sorted now... I think LOL
