Thank God I don't work in town anymore. I would be size of house. They really are yum, honestly.

I used to have a Pret Coronation Chicken baguette every day for lunch when pg with DS1.
I put on a lot of weight, but it was worth it, they are gorgeous.

MayorNaze · 09/04/2010 17:49

TakeLovingChances · 09/04/2010 17:50

I love Pret when I go on holiday to visit a friend in London.

I live in Northern Ireland and we don't have any Pret branches out here

Aussieng · 09/04/2010 17:56

Oooh I love Philpotts. They do a lovely pastrami and stilton salad which is to die for. Not being able to have that has been the hardest things about being pregnant! Never tried their Indian Chutney with coronation chicken. [Adding diary note for Monday]

mosschops30 · 09/04/2010 17:58

Ooh i love Pret. Used to fantasise about going to London just for the sarnies but we now have one in Cardiff yay
Choice is a bit lame though, certainly no Coronation chicken yet.
My faves are the wraps Spicy Falafel with roasted veg and feta is delish

The best one I had in London was butternut squash and stilton yum yum

MamaVoo · 09/04/2010 18:12

God I miss Pret. I used to get a lovely almond croissant for breakfast and a big fat sandwich (and possibly a lemon cake) for lunch when I was working. I hate to think how much I must have spent in there over the years.

Cartoose · 09/04/2010 18:49

MMmmmmm ... so many things at Pret are yummy. I never know what to choose. Can't go there very often though or I'd be huge. There are lots of Prets near me too. So tempting.

darkandstormy · 09/04/2010 19:22

emsyj · 09/04/2010 19:22

Have checked the Philpotts website (yep, they have one!!! Who'd have thunk it?? Looks quite professional too...) but can't see any London branches, so will be sticking with Paul when I am on trips to London for the time being.

REALLY want a Paul cheese & ham baguette now on that super rock-hard bread they do.... and maybe a strawberry tart.

I have toactivly avoid Greggs for their iced donuts!!

5inthebed · 09/04/2010 20:49

Would those be the fudge ones? Those are my favourite.

Although Starbucks do amazing glazed ones.

upahill · 09/04/2010 20:56

Nah 5inthebed....just the glazed ones.

I avoid like mad!!!

i had tuna AND cheese on pizza last night

Tillyscoutsmum · 11/04/2010 15:11

Prets is the thing I miss most about not working on town. Their ham, cheese and tomato croissants are fantastic.

Philpotts is definitely a chain

Fish and cheese is definitely wrong (except for cream cheese and smoked salmon bagels)

fishie · 11/04/2010 15:18

i hate the way everywhere you look in central london there is a pret. and that coronation chicken is 509 calories.

Triggles · 11/04/2010 17:11

You can always make Pret's coronation chicken sandwiches (and other items) at home - they have a DIY section on their website with recipes. www.pret.com/our_food/pret_diy/

Triggles · 11/04/2010 17:13
