pea omlette!?

Not really an AIBU but I was so surprised I posted this in the first place I found.

Should I eat it? It has about 6 chips with it!

SMacK · 06/04/2010 19:29

KAEKAE · 06/04/2010 21:29

Six chips? What's that all about? Pointless.

SlinkyGoober · 06/04/2010 21:31

Cheesy peas?
Everybody loves cheesy peas!

JodieO · 06/04/2010 21:32

6 chips? Lol

themothershipcalling · 06/04/2010 21:33

Noooo...YANBU! I love pea omlettes! Make them for DD. When you say 6 chips is it like my DH does when he arranges 6 chunky chips 'artfully' on the plate?!

Mouseface · 06/04/2010 21:35

Arty chips - my DH does that, he did it tonight with our fish........

Pea omlette, yum! Hungry again now!!

SMacK · 06/04/2010 21:38

Erm, well it wasn't that artful if I'm honest, but he did bring a large jar of mayo with a spoon too short to reach the actual any of it.

I couldn't really see the design anyway because I was sitting in a dark living room as all the lights are broken and have been for 3 weeks and he hasn't fixed any except for a small reading lamp.

I'm quite the ungrateful wife aren't I?

I'm very of those of you with dh's that can cook omelettes! my dh can't boil water

Joolyjoolyjoo · 06/04/2010 21:43

Omelettes are one of the few things my DH cooks well (better than me ) Enjoy!

But mayo? On an omelette? Noooo!

themothershipcalling · 06/04/2010 21:45

Good point... Does your Dh not know that it's Ketchup with Omlettes....?!

SusieCarmichael · 06/04/2010 21:46

whats a pea omelette? i mean, is it all pea or part egg?

SusieCarmichael · 06/04/2010 21:47

oh, but i DO know that its a lovely mixture of ketchup and mayo with omelettes

HeadFairy · 06/04/2010 21:48

mayo is quite nice with omelettes, but it is a bit of egg overload!

Mouseface · 06/04/2010 21:49

SMacK - you make me lol

Same in this houes re mayo!! Is it a man folk thing???? It's like how the hell am I gonna get it out of the jar without covering my God damn hand??!!

runnybottom · 06/04/2010 21:50

Susie, it wouldn't be an omlette if there weren't any eggs!

themothershipcalling · 06/04/2010 21:50

Just while we're on mayo/ketchup point - sorry to hijack - does anyone else think mayo and lasagne is weird?

I love it but bfriend - who is part Italian - is mortified at my love for it!

HeadFairy · 06/04/2010 21:55

mothership, I had a friend who'd have mayo with everything, including a roast dinner! If you like it, have it, but it's a little odd to me. All that bechamel sauce with mayo as well? Too rich!

Hmmm.... Is soooo good though! Never thought about roasts, will have to add mayo to heap of condiments next Sunday....

SusieCarmichael · 06/04/2010 22:01

i can see how that woulod be nice mothership, might have to try actually

the only thing i hate is ketchup with tomatoey stuff e.i baked beans, pizza, pasta sauce... i mean its ALREADY tomatoey! and its a different TYPE of tomato...

runnybottom · 06/04/2010 22:05

salad cream is far better than mayo, and more patriotic too!!

themothershipcalling · 06/04/2010 22:06

Totally agree Susie! Why oh why would you have ketchup with baked beans???

Trust me though, mayo and lasagne is fab - has to be Hellmans though!

themothershipcalling · 06/04/2010 22:14

Oh, DH just brought me left-over home-made fish fingers.... I think he has been spying on thread!

SMacK · 06/04/2010 22:15

Oh fgs, - the mayo was for the chips!
