They're 4 doors down and I can hear them shrieking. They are about 9-14 years old, and making a hell of a racket.

YANBU

However my first reaction was to giggle, and then be @ the time

Well - they are on holiday!

YABabitU.

However, I think their parents ABU and antisocial to let them do it at this time of night.

Just enjoy listening to someone enjoying themselves.

strawberrykate · 05/04/2010 23:34

As a one-off in the holidays I'd ignore. Doing it regularly is another matter.

thisisyesterday · 05/04/2010 23:35

i wouldn't have a problem with them being out on the trampoline

but it IS antisocial to be making a huge racket at this time of night

outnumbered2to1 · 05/04/2010 23:35

you have my sympathies.... i have the same problem with kids in the garden behind and below mine. The noise they make is unbelievable but its nothing compared to the noise the mother makes coming out to tell them to "shut the fuck up".

Got so bad last summer i had to swap bedrooms with the DS's so they could have the windows open to sleep.....

They

They may be enjoying themselves but I think it's really antisocial at almost midnight, and not taking into account that they have elderly neighbours on either side (not me!!) who have bedrooms overlooking their garden.
(they are keeping me awake so I will have to stay on MN...)

Perhaps the parents have friends over and all the dc are playing?

I have done this and mine have been on the trampo at midnight in the summer after a bbq.

No, they've done it 3 nights so far.
It's hellish in the summer.
Ah well, maybe one of the local foxes will poo on the trampoline.

Have you told them, and asked them for a curfew?
