My dd is nearly 10. Dh and I watch Glee and love it, but would you let your 10 year old watch it?

I haven't seen it, but wanted to say, I had not seen Grease at that age and when my son's grade 7 class was going to go see it. (the local high school was performing it) a lot of parents complained, and so they canceled the trip.
Although for the life of me I can't personally think of what was so bad about Grease? I don't remember any foul language, sexual content, violence or drug use.

Update. 5 minutes with google and I learn apparently I have forgotten most of the plot of Grease.

Just remembered Glee isn't on for 3 weeks anyway

Condensedmilkaddict · 06/04/2010 14:58

I don't let DD10 watch it.

No, I wouldn't let a 10 year old watch it. YABU to watch that rubbish too.

Maleeka · 06/04/2010 15:13

I love Glee and have no problem with my girls watching it.

Compare it to Eastenders which is on at 7.30 full of murderers, thieves, gangland shootings, rape, more teen pregnancies than you can shake a stick at, muggings, hmm the list is endless.

I really have no idea why Glee is on so late, it pales into significance when you compare it to our soaps!

Apart from most of it is factually incorrect and there's a severe lack of continuity, it's pretty harmless.

I watch it my my two DDs (almost 11 and almost 8). DD1 gets most of it and some goes right over DD2's head, but they both love it.

juneybean · 06/04/2010 20:35

I do find it very amusing and Puck.........
