not to accept a Facebook friend request from someone I don't know?

I had a friend request from some guy I don'tknow and we had no mutual friends so I sent him a message saying I didn't know him. He basically said he sent me the request because he thought I looked cute and that I am a friend of a friend. I asked who and he then proceeded to call me hard work because I didn't just accept the request. I said that I'm not hard work and there's nothing weird about not accepting friend requests from total strangers & also that he didn't know which one was me as I'm with a friend in my profile pic. He then said he's looked at all my pics and knows which one's me.

I'm totally pissed off and upset, cos I don't think I'm hard work and upset that he's looked at my photos (I thought all my albums were friends only but one was accidentally everyone which i've now changed). Why would anyone send a friend request to a total stranger, and why would they then be pissed off when that person doesn't just accept the request and wants to know how they know them??

howmuchdidyousay, I don't want to sound a sour note here, but if your 8 yr old is getting loads of requests from strangers, please be very careful.

Experiments by social and criminal researchers has shown that many paedophiles are definitely targeting youngsters via Facebook, one reason why I don't use it, and my dcs know nothing about it yet.

well I didn't realise blokes did this all the time! - thought it was a bit strange and was just curious which friend he knew me through as we had no mutual friends. Don't think it was necessary for him to get arsey about me asking, but, like I say I won't in future. I don't like that he reckoned he's seen all my photos (can't have, surely if they were set to 'only friend'?) - just sounded a bit creepy to me but, hey, maybe I'm just naive
