i shamelessly admit that I clearly have a genetic advantage as I have embraced chocolate as a major food group all my life without masses of problems and that's bloody unfair. I could probably stand to lose some weight now and be healthier. But bad things TASTE TOO GOOD. i have just had a slab of Thorntons chocolate and some white wine for dinner, and you know what? It was MUCH better than being a size 10 felt... I may have biscuits for pudding

then you look at your back hamsters and feel all

I have given up svelteness to my twenties. I figure it all goes downhill eventually so I have to get used to it sometime! Now on the Foxs chunkie cookies which are like some kind of invention for loading carbs and saturated fabs and salt into a single mouthful.

AnzoneioBanderas · 02/04/2010 20:57

omaoma · 02/04/2010 20:57

I've been slim, and really rather skinny, but I must say, eating really good chocolate fudge cake does taste better than the feeling of getting into a slightly smaller pair of trousers.

You see, the first time you slip into something a size smaller, that feels fantastic, but the next time, well those are just your jeans, it's not that exciting. However, every time you eat a chocolate fudge cake it tastes sooo good. (How depressing, we have no chocolate fudge cake)

30andMerkin · 02/04/2010 21:00

Back Hamsters?!?!?!

omaoma · 02/04/2010 21:00

anyone else regularly make enough dinner 'to last for lunch tomorrow and freeze some as well' and then eat the whole thing?

thats why flapjacks are so evil they don't taste nice and you might as well eat a nice cake in terms of healthyness.

omaoma · 02/04/2010 21:01

Fake: I can lend you my store-cupboard recipe for hot fudge sauce with which to embellish anything vaguely sweet (or bread!) if you want

and the worst thing is, I don't think i looked particularly good skinny because i'm kind of square-shaped so i just look a bit weird and bony. at least with fat i have curves! could live without the saddlebags, but nobody's perfect

Yes. Oh, hell yes. I could list them but I'd get too greedy.

Nice thread.

lincstash · 02/04/2010 22:23

Wait till your cholesterol hits 7 and you fall over with a heart attack. The benefits of not eating chocolate will become blatantly apparent..........

SofaQueen · 02/04/2010 22:25

I'm slim (size 4/6) and always have been because I have never dieted. Because I don't deprive myself, I don't have cravings, go nuts with portions, and haven't messed up my metabolism. Everything in moderation and all - it works!

ItsAllaBitNoisy · 02/04/2010 22:43

Lol at the smugness .

I'm a size 2/4 and I feel BLOATED!

ThatVikRinA22 · 02/04/2010 22:43

nothing tastes as good as wine feels

or

nothing feels as good as wine tastes

or something.

(ive had wine. 2 glasses.)

nothing makes sense as wine is consumed!

omaoma · 02/04/2010 22:44

Asana - I think we should meet!

Lincstash - yeah yeah. I don't minimise the health impacts of my diet at all. just talking about the MENTAL impacts. No point living forever with depression and anxiety...
