... that I have a 'friend request' from my ExH on facebook.

I got divorced without him turning up or signing anything, maintenance after a 2 year battle, only for him to pay for 4 months then stop, got ds' name changed (only this month) after 7 months of him not responding to anything, well, he made one call to court welfare saying he wanted a relationship with his son, was told to write to him and send a picture and they would see how ds handled that (he's 5.6), 12 weeks later still no letter!!!
I know he'd of got a letter from my solicitor this week about if he doesn't pay maintenance again within 28 days we're applying to the army to pay it directly.

So, why, oh why is this man no friend requesting me is beyond me!!

YANBU - ignore his request. If you say yeah, he'll be able to see what you're up to (depending on your settings), nowt to do with him anymore.

What a w*nker. It is amusing though - evidently he has so few friends he must come to someone who obviously can't stand him in order to bump up his total.

I sent my ex-twunt a friend request because it was the only way I could find out if he had any interest in seeing his dd, as I was about to tell her about him and wanted to know where she stood if she requested to meet him.

You are not able to send messages to people who have a limited profile unless you are on their friends list. Perhaps he just wants to send you a message about your child?

kit84 · 24/03/2010 17:16

Lol, I'm not supid enough to accept, my life is none of his business.
I did send a message after checking it wouldn't enable him to see my profile.
I told him he has our address and all contact should be made by letter if for ds or via his solicitor if regarding legal matters.

ShineyAndNew, that had also crossed my mind, though he has an email address he could use for me if that was the case.
