Today dh and I returned a pushchair to mothercare at 10 am and when getting out released it did not open until 11am (retail park) so with having ds1 & carrying ds2 and the pushchair box and foot muff box, to put back in the car, dh left my purse at the top of the car, and with strapping ds2 and me strapping ds1 into their seats and boxes back in the boot dh accidentally/forgot my purse, which was still on top of the car roof and drove off .

So got to the Metrocentre and realised 20 Min's later and drove back to mothercare, to check the car park.

Unfortunately for us, someone had already found my purse and it was not handed into any of the shops and has not been handed into a any police station

I would not be bothered if it was only my purse, but it has my children's photos and my only photo of my Dad , £150 and bank cards etc...

Im so disappointed tbh, and dh is fuming at himself. Its our own fault I know, but I know if I found a purse I would contact banks/store cards to pass my number on so the correct owner would get it etc...

Grrrr......

Years ago I left my filofax in a phonebax (I told you it was a long time ago!)
It also had my credit cards and a £20 note in it.

A lovely teenage boy found it and contacted me so he could return it. I tried to give him money to say thank you and he refused to take it.

I'm sorry you wren't so lucky today

there are some nice people out there I think it's just the luck of the draw

I stupidly went food shopping last year with £120 in my jeans pocket as I didn;t want to hang my handbag on the trolley incase it got nicked managed to somehow drop the money out of my pocket and not realise until I got to the checkout....frantically searching my pockets no money and had to pay on my card

Got home in tears and got DH to call the store up who called us back in disbelief half an hour later saying someone had found my money rolled up on the floor and actually handed it in

I am such a wooly head at the moment I keep doing stupid things like that but every time my wallet, phones etc have been handed in and I have got them back. However mothercare must be jinxed as my handbag was nicked there the other week with many many things of value in it. The world is mixed but so far the honest people have outweighed the dishonest for me.
