According to todays DT.. they should be banned as they are so ugly,,,i have to be prised out of mine, plus the writer cant understand why we would pay £150 for them..I dont find them at all offensive, oh and sh said they must smell!!

Maybe it's just me, but why do people want to look like everyone else? The minute I see critical mass I just have to swerve off that bandwagon.

And whoever said 'bogan', that's grouse!

Oo i love mines, have 3 pairs. I can't imagine a winter without them anymore, and have no idea how i coped in the past.

parentrapped · 18/03/2010 20:54

they are called UGGS for a reason and it is not because they are fethching! THEY ARE UGGLY!
i have one delicious pair and they NEVER leave the house but on at all times in the house...been tempted to wear them on those nasty days but once you cross that line you never return to dignity! Same goes for the juicy track pant.

sungirltan · 18/03/2010 20:55

ffs whats the big deal with uggs? i wear them, though not exclusively, i wouldn't walk great distances in them, just when its cold. however...i am a grown up lady. i do object strongly to seeing children wearing ugg style boots. they are absolutely not suitable as they have very flat soles and have no arch support. also the cheap ones wear down on the outside of the heel and all of those things must be very bad for backs/feet.

Alouiseg

UGG boots look good on some of the male species lol

Alouiseg · 18/03/2010 23:08

Fallon8 Yup! 30c cycle, shortish spin, warm airing cupboard and a suede block to lift the pile.

I think my first pair managed 8 washes over 3 years and have only just been relegated to dog walking.

sungirltan · 19/03/2010 10:25

i washed my uggs plenty of times and they come up nice. i would recommend stuffing the toes with newspaper wen they are drying though to reshape.

agree with others...crocs on adults are a much bigger style crime than uggs!

belgo · 19/03/2010 10:27

They look awful.

It is possible to buy comfortable practical boots that look great as well.
