According to the Sainsburys website they sell Farmlea brand condensed milk and Sainsburys brand evaporated milk.

You may also find other brands in Caribbean/Indian/Thai stores.

I boycott Lush because their shops stink.

ooojimaflip · 16/03/2010 15:05

Not the early nineties indie band though - I quite like them.

bronze I never heard of the rolling 5 year rule so I googled it but can't see why that's worse than a cut off date. Admittedly I don't know much about it. Can you explain please? Thank you!

BertieBotts · 16/03/2010 15:23

Or chocolate M&Ms instead of smarties would work.

(Yes, what is the rolling 5 year rule?)

bronze · 16/03/2010 15:54

Shaz because the rolling rule allows for more testing whereas the a cut off date says no more!

To be honest I'm not as bothered as some but I don't like the hypocrisy of some of the companies that employ it and then state they don't test on animlas etc

Shaz10 · 16/03/2010 16:19

Thank you bronze. I'd never heard of it before!
I've found Lush's stance on the rule. That makes sense too. I'm confused now! Aaaagh! www.lush.com.au/catalog/info.php?page=testingpolicy

OK thanks I'm getting the gist now , so thats Nestle , & fruit shoots & greggs sausage rolls to avoid anything else ?

Nobody is going to part me from my giant Milky Bars I'm afraid.

bronze · 17/03/2010 12:42

Pink - things to avoid...palm oil? (not all obviously) SLS, parabens, aspartame (has a new name too)

have fun

ooojimaflip... try living near Lush factories... If the wind is in the right direction I get lush, change a bit and I get ryvetta, change in the wrong way and I get the sewage works...

I don't use Lush, but feel I couldn't boycott mainly because they are local. I didn't realise they endorsed decapitation tho... What is the five yr thing?

DitaVonCheese · 27/03/2010 23:18

chicaguapa Aldi were selling some Smarties-type chocolate beans last time I was in there (with my SIL, who wasn't the slightest bit excited about finding a non-Nestle alternative!). Pick and mix things also sometimes have them, though probably more expensive.
