It has been my daughters first week at playgroup this week and today the group leader offered DD a piece of toast and apparently my daughter said 'Have you no bruschetta?' Luckily the group leader had a giggle telling me about it but I was mortified, I bet she came across like a right little madam!

thats made me chuckle

Don't worry she will say worse! You open yourself up to a lifetime of embarrassment when you have children!

BeeConcernedHiveMind · 12/03/2010 21:46

I don't know why wanting bruschetta would be seen as snobby. It's just a piece of toasted bread with whatever seasoning or stuff you want to put on it.

runnybottom · 12/03/2010 21:50

I hope she pronounced it properly!

SloanyPony · 12/03/2010 21:50

I thought Bruschetta was something the italians made to use up their stale ciabatta...

mrsruffallo · 12/03/2010 21:52

Does she have bruschetta instead of toast at home?
That's not really being a food snob is it?

PeggysEvilTwin · 12/03/2010 21:55

i was really rather proud last night that my DS had a mini-tantrum in a restaurant because he "needs to eat your mussels marinere, mummy"

I think i have created a monster.

BeeConcernedHiveMind · 12/03/2010 22:05

Sloany, yes it's a great way to use stale bread.
