Say if you're on crutches with a condition that will last another 4-5 months and need the space to fully open the door to get your legs out.

this would only be if there were no p&t spaces available.

or would it be better to park in the middle of two normal spaces(if available)

??

disclaimer-genuine question, not trying to offend anyone or belittle anyone elses permanent disability.

TummyTime, blue badges do have pictures on them. There is a photocard that has to be displayed with the turn dial clock thing.

I know, MrsC - my DH has one but it is not on the side which is routinely displayed and traffic wardens etc have no power to ask you to turn the card over and prove that the picture and owner are the same. Some london boroughs have introduced photocard parking permits for disabled people for this reason.

Oh really? Ah ok. My mum seems to display her's with the pic showing, but I could well be wrong.

If you are having problems and on crutches why don't you ask your doc to help you apply for a temp blue badge? You can get one for SPD. If you had one I'd say yes, park there, if not then no, you care not entitled to.
