To think that nobody reads these threads

You know, the ones where someone asks "What colour socks are you wearing" or something else inane.

You read about the first three answers and then think "Sod it" and just scroll through the rest, post yours, and then leave. Nobody reads the answers on these threads, surely? Even if you write something witty or interesting nobody notices, so why do we all reply anyway, knowing nobody will read it or care??

Hey Bertie glad things are improving sleepwise for you. - Although did you stay with him for a whole night? You must have lots of will power!

I don't think I was very good at following the NCSS - as I didn't really do follow-up sleep logs or anything - but I did try and follow the principles and it worked overall and he was sleeping lots better. Thinking about it, the problem is when something messes up the routine - like being ill the last few weeks, when he gets used to cuddles/feeding/Waybuloo at 2am when he'd thrown up everywhere coughing after feeding - and he gets out of the habit of settling himself! Then because I'm tired I let him sleep in late so I can rest... then he naps late and for too long and it all spirals.

I was v good today and woke him up at 8.30 (seemed a good compromise of not too late or early), kept him awake and busy til 1, then only let him nap for 1.5 hours (it was soooo hard to wake him though, he kept looking blearily round, then closing his eyes again!) so hopefully it'll be a better night tonight!
