Never done this WBD dressing up malarky before.
DD wants to go as the hungry caterpillar. In a "mummy" sleeping bag.

My objections are...

I haven't got a sleeping bag, I can't afford to buy one and then turn it into a caterpillar costume.

I can't see how she can move around/do any work dressed like this

She'll just use it as an excuse to have a nap

The whole thing seems pointless to me...Am I being a misery?

Try convincing an autistic 8 year old that they can't go as Cinderella...because HE IS A BOY and the other children will crucify him...yes, even if it is the prettiest costume you can think of (but a little too cos I know the stress of change will traumatise him on the day itself.

I hate WBD.

I am just on my way out to buy emergency pirate outfits for my boys. I hate how schools assume you have limitless amounts of time and money.
