have been blardy brilliant? and actually, watching the halfpipe, ski cross, etc have been pretty damn exciting - and the critics should shut the hell up ?

ps. though i don't fancy Shaun White at all, some of the blokes in the crowd have been quite fit actually.

Yep, they're a godsend for an insomniac like me. I love how bitchy the mens figure skating got, it was like a real life Blades of Glory

Cool We have got provincial nomination, just about to apply for PR. It's all a bit stressful (and very expensive).

Love em, especially downhill skiing and the luge stuff.

Got such respect for downhill skiers. When I went to Whistler on hols, our instructor took us down the downhill course. When we got to the bottom (in about twenty turns, stopping every so often to pick up fallers) he stopped, looked back at what we'd just skiied and said

"So in a competition, a skier would come down here with one turn into the straight and one out of it" (i.e. no turns instead of 20)

I was soooooooo impressed. They must have thighs of steel.

Also love these olympics so far, sorry the coverage on BBC is so crap! (ooh just realized I could probably catch stuff on iplayer??)
