To wrestle with my DS.

I sort of think it is something that some lads do with their Dads, testing their strength etc.

But DS loves wrestling with me. It gets very full on although I am careful not to hurt him too much. Although to be honest, he seems to enjoy it if I match him and there is a chance I might inflict 'minor' pain . I stopped him yesterday and he was begging me to carry on, laughing like crazy, poking me and provoking me to carry on.

I have talked to him about not actually hurting me (he is 12), but he is like an over energetic andrex puppy and part of me likes the fact that we are connecting on his level.

It does make me laugh, it just feels weird as I had always thought it was a Dad/son thing.

I think they love a wrestle and its often the Dads that are prepared to do it, that's all. DH and DS have their own Saturday morning wrestling arena.( our bed )

DS ( 6) would love it if I would do it - he often tries. But he always ends up kicking my boobs and then I get grumpy.

I think its great if you like it - I wish I did as I can see how much fun they have.

YADNBU I am constantly bombarded by my two ds' and they are only 2 & 3 I think it has something to do with the way they are wired Think hunter mentality or that of the wolf pup It is good fun and tbh I enjoy it OH rarely spends time with them (we are seperating for this among many reasons) and so I take up the slack in this too.

it is kind of fun....

I just feel weird sometimes. (walking through town in heels and a short skirt with a hyperactive 12 yr old trying to give me a dead leg!)

Don't feel weird. My years of attending youth groups on a Friday night have prepared me for raising a boy. The cry of "Stacks On!" is often heard here.

The rule is no crying, if you are wrestling/sword fighting then you will probably get hurt and as such are not allowed to whinge about it.

I wrestle with my boys. Eldest is 11 and quite muscular and I'm ashamed to say he's actually stronger than me so he usually ends up winning ... unless I can pin him first

He doesn't like wrestling with his dad because he always takes it too far and ends up hurting him
