To think a few smears of paint and a bit of artfully-dishevelled hair does not bring Uma Thurman anywhere near the grotfest that 'Motherhood' actually is?

Okay, Okay, I know she's got 2 children of her own in RL, but that pic of her over there -----> in the ad looking like a stunned mullet but still utterly perfect is REALLY annoying me!

And I'm pissed off that the site is promoting such a 'hollywood' version of motherhood (see Babyboom and other shite films for similar).

Oh, ignore me, I'm probably BVU, I've had a bloody awful day and DH has got manflu and competitive tiredness syndrome and seeing that stupid picture on the site has irked me. I'm irked, I tell you!

Is it a really shite film?

I've just received an e-ticket to go via Mumsnet.

Why are they doing a freebie?

JulesJules · 27/03/2010 11:54

Have just seen that this film only took £9 on its opening day and £88 on its opening weekend, making it one of the biggest flops of all time... Was it really THAT BAD??

wukter · 27/03/2010 12:07

Agree, that promo picture makes me cringe

MilkNoSugarPlease · 27/03/2010 12:12

It's awful!

I downloaded it and it's so so bad!

Like awfully so

MilkNoSugarPlease · 27/03/2010 12:13

so bad i started a thread

I assume it's aimed at mothers, probably aiming to make us all chuckle ruefully in recognition.
However if a mother gets out for the night to the cinema - rare excitement - is she going to immerse herself in what she is trying to escape? NO. Bad planning
